About the National Parks & Wildlife Sanctuary

Manas National Park is an UNESCO World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve and a biosphere reserve in Assam and also famous for its natural beauty. 

Nameri National Park is an ideal habitat for the Indian Elephant along with host of other animals including the tiger, leopard, sambar,  clouded leopard, leopard cat, gaur, wild boar, sloth bear, Himalayan black bear, capped langur etc. A big attraction here is the rafting in the Jia Bhoroli river through the national park while enjoying the beauty and animals of the park. 

Kaziranga National Park is famous for the one horned Indian Rhinoceros. A UNESCO world heritage site it has the highest density of the Indian Rhino. The One-Horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, Asian elephant, Wild water buffalo and Swamp deer are collectively known as 'Big Five' of Kaziranga. 

Hollongpar Gibbon Sanctuary in Assam is named after the only ape found in India, the Hollock Gibbons. The other primates include the Stump Tailed Macaque, Pig Tailed Macaque,Capped Langur, Rhesus Macaques and Slow Loris.   

Dibru Saikhowa National Park is famous for the feral horses and the different varieties of birds. The vast swamps and grasslands invite thousands of migratory birds every year to this place which makes it a popular destination for birdwatchers.
