Day 01 Arrive New Delhi/Kolkata, connecting flight to Guwahati.
Day 02: Visit the famous Kamakhya Temple. Thereafter drive to Sualkuchi village . Sualkuchi has a long tradition of producing and weaving silk and is the epicenter of the Assam silk industry. Muga - the beautiful silk of Assam that has a natural golden color is woven here. Visit a silk weaving unit and see how the famous Assamese silk is weaved. Later drive back to Guwahati.
Day 03: This morning transfer to Guwahati railway station for your train to Dimapur Arrive Dimapur and proceed for lunch. Thereafter drive to Kohima (70 km/ 3 hours). On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon visit the local market.
Day 04: Sightseeing of Kohima. Visit the WW II Cemetery and the State Museum (Sunday closed). Visit the Catholic Cathedral for which funds were donated by families of Japanese soldiers who lost their lives in the Second World War. Afternoon visit a local Naga handloom center.
Day 05: Today drive to Kaziranga National Park (6 hours). On arrival, check-in at a resort in the periphery of the park.
Day 06: Today get up very early in the morning for an elephant ride inside the National Park. Come back to resort for breakfast and then go to a nearby village and visit a weaving centre run by a women’s self help group. Afternoon go on a Jeep safari inside Western range of the National Park .
Day 07: Drive through the tea gardens to Jorhat (2 hours). On arrival check in at the resort. Afternoon visit a traditional handloom center in a tea estate.
Day 08: After an early breakfast drive to Neemati Ghat for your ferry ride to Majuli, one of the biggest inhabited river islands in the world. Majuli is famous for the Assamese Vaishnavite satras or monasteries, the Mishing tribals and also for the migratory birds. Explore the Mishing villages and visit their weaving units. Thereafter take the ferry back to Jorhat.
Day 09: Dive to Dibrugarh (3 hours). Enroute visit a village of the Deuri Tribe of Assam. Almost all the homes in the village have their own weaving unit where they weave their own traditional clothes. This tradition is going on for centuries. On arrival in Dibrugarh check in at hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to airport for your onward journey to Kolkata/ Delhi and onward International connection.
