Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Chennai

Arrive in Chennai, the vibrant capital of Tamil Nadu. Meet and transfer to your hotel. Evening visit to the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, an exquisite example of Dravidian architecture, and a short walk through Mylapore’s traditional flower and brass markets. End the day with a calming sunset meditation by Marina Beach.

Day 2 – Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Puducherry

Begin the day with yoga and pranayama. Drive along the scenic East Coast Road to Mahabalipuram (UNESCO World Heritage Site) to see the magnificent Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, and the Five Rathas. Continue to Puducherry, the serene seaside town known for its French heritage. Evening stroll along the Promenade Beach and meditation at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

Day 3 – Puducherry & Auroville (Wellness and Spiritual Exploration)

Morning yoga by the sea, followed by a visit to Auroville, the international community dedicated to human unity and conscious living. Experience quiet meditation near the Matrimandir and enjoy an organic lunch at an Auroville café. Afternoon heritage walk through the French Quarter, ending with an Ayurvedic massage and relaxation therapy.

Day 4 – Puducherry – Kumbakonam (Temple Trails & Meditation)

Drive to Kumbakonam, the sacred “City of Temples.” En route, stop at Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, symbolizing the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva. Later, explore Darasuram Airavatesvara Temple (UNESCO), famed for its intricate Chola sculptures. Evening guided meditation at the temple courtyard.

Day 5 – Kumbakonam – Thanjavur – Chettinad (Pudukottai Region)

After morning yoga, drive to Thanjavur, the seat of the mighty Chola dynasty. Visit the Brihadeeswarar Temple (UNESCO) — a masterpiece of Tamil architecture — and the Thanjavur Palace and Art Gallery, known for bronze idols and Tanjore paintings. Continue to Chettinad, renowned for its palatial mansions and distinct cuisine. Enjoy a traditional Chettinad cooking class in the evening.

Day 6 – Chettinad (Heritage & Mindfulness)

Begin the day with a gentle yoga session. Explore the elegant Chettinad mansions, local tile workshops, and antique markets. Lunch with a local family to experience authentic Chettinad cuisine. Evening sound meditation in a restored heritage home.

Day 7 – Chettinad – Madurai (Spiritual Heritage)

Drive to Madurai, one of India’s oldest cities. Visit the stunning Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural marvel and center of Tamil spirituality. Evening aarti (ceremonial prayer) at the temple, followed by guided meditation at your heritage hotel.

Day 8 – Madurai (Culture & Yoga)

Early morning yoga and meditation. Visit Thirumalai Nayak Palace and the Gandhi Museum, followed by an Ayurveda-inspired vegetarian lunch. Afternoon free for shopping or spa therapy. Evening cultural performance featuring classical Carnatic music or Bharatanatyam dance.

Day 9 – Madurai – Periyar National Park (Nature & Wellness)

Drive through the lush Western Ghats to Periyar National Park in Kerala. Check into an eco-lodge. Afternoon spice plantation tour — learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and clove. Evening forest meditation and mindfulness session surrounded by nature’s sounds.

Day 10 – Periyar (Yoga, Nature & Ayurveda)

Sunrise yoga by the lake, followed by an Ayurvedic rejuvenation treatment using local herbs. Optional boat safari on Lake Periyar to spot elephants and birdlife. Afternoon cooking demonstration of Kerala vegetarian cuisine. Evening bonfire and group meditation.

Day 11 – Periyar – Kumarakom (Backwater Wellness Retreat)

Explore Fort Kochi’s colonial quarter, visiting St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening Kathakali dance performance followed by a farewell dinner featuring Kerala’s traditional Sadya meal.

Day 14 – Kochi (Departure)

Begin your final morning with a closing yoga and meditation circle, sharing reflections on your journey. Transfer to Kochi airport for your onward flight — your body rejuvenated, your mind calm, and your spirit renewed.
